Kaleido

GuideRank 5

The Kaleidoscope. A brass kaleidoscope, 4.2 metres tall, on a low turntable in the middle of the tub. Its face is the eyepiece: a round lens in a flared brass hood, a slowly turning rosette inside. No eyes, no mouth, and it always faces you.

Item level 55: the same key 15 set, with the Gloamhollow’s on-use trinket

The trinket for each class: Guardian: Thornwarden's Heartwood · Rogue: Glimmerdust Phial · Hunter: Lantern-Eye Lens · Firebrand: Lampwright's Hand-Lamp · Shaman: Mossmender's Seed-Pod · Cleric: Vesper Bell. Press it with your ultimate.

That is the gear this fight was tuned for. More gear makes it easier, and good play can win below it. How item level works here.

What it does

Glass ring

Closing rings of coral stained glass come at you from the rim. Each has a gap. A mint paper lantern hangs over the spot where the gap will cross your track, about three seconds ahead.

Walk your track round its foot and stand in the gap as the glass passes.

Uzu

The gap steps round from ring to ring.

Follow the lanterns.

Inazuma

The gap jumps across the ring.

Watch for the lantern on the far side.

Futae

Two gaps in one ring.

Either one will do.

How to beat it

  1. Follow the lanterns: A lantern marks every gap about three seconds before the glass arrives.
  2. Walk the carousel: You walk a track round its foot. Stand in the gap, do not run through it.
  3. Mind the next ring: Rings come in sets. Plan where you will stand for the second as you leave the first.
  4. Flawless: No ring catches you.

Every class can win: each attack has a red warning on the floor and can be walked out of. About the Hug Club.
