The Great Cull
From and to the notice board
Kill two hundred of anything no more than two levels below you, anywhere on the island, or anything your crew downs in the Wreck. On the island at level 10 that means the 8s and 9s.
How
- Take it from the board.
- Kill 200 mobs of level 8 or 9 on the island: the Wreckers and Slingers in the Salvage Yard, the drowned in the galley, the drowned warrior, the Yard's bruisers and the Scrap King all count. So does every enemy your crew downs in the Wreck, for each of you in a seat, whatever its level (not the kegs, souls or whirlpools).
- In a crew, everyone near a kill gets it. The daily Cull counts the same kills. The chat says your count every ten.
- Hand in at the board.
At level 10 every bit of XP goes into your Mastery bar, so this is a big step toward a Mastery point.
To do
- Kills near your level (200)
Every week. The board asks again on Monday, 00:00 UTC.
Rewards
60,000 XP each time
In the quest's words: 60,000 XP (at level 10, all of it Mastery), 30 salvage and a rare piece for your class.
Before and after
After Scratched. Shows from level 10.
What they say
When offered
“THE GREAT CULL. Two hundred. Anything near your level, anywhere on the island. The Wreck counts too.”
“For whoever does it: a LOT of experience (at level ten, all of it Mastery), thirty salvage and a rare piece for you. Signed by Pip. Also by Big Moe, in a bigger crayon.”
While you work
“THE GREAT CULL: two hundred of anything near your level, on the island or in the Wreck. Hand it in here when you are done.”
When you hand it in
“TWO HUNDRED. The island is quiet for a while. It won't last. It never does.”
“Your reward is nailed to the board. Big Moe used four nails. It is not going anywhere.”
