Playing on a phone
Playing the World on a phone is still experimental. It plays the same island with the same characters, and it was made for thumbs. We can't test every phone, so tell us what goes wrong.
Two ways in
Open the Alamayo app and tap WORLD.
Open the Play link at the top of this wiki in your phone’s browser. On an iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android Chrome, tap Install. Open Alamayo World from your Home Screen after that.
The same page has Play in the browser under the app card. It plays right there, with no install.
A browser inside another app (Telegram, a social app) can’t install the World. It says “Open this page in Safari” or “Open this page in Chrome”: do that first.
Turn it sideways
Held upright, the game asks you to Turn your phone sideways. If it won’t turn, rotation may be locked: pull down Control Center and tap the lock.
A folding phone held upright plays in DS mode: the picture on top, your thumbs below. So does any upright screen at least 560 wide. Windows open below the picture. To turn it off: Menu → Controls → Fold mode.
Signing in
You can start with nothing and sign in later. Three ways in:
Tap Play. There is nothing to sign in to.
A code brings the characters of a PC or another phone. On a PC: Esc → Play on your phone. On another phone: Menu → Account → Play on another device. Then on your phone, tap I have a code, type it, paste it or scan it, and tap Sign in. A code works once and runs out; New code makes another.
Tap Log in with wallet on the door. It opens the World inside MetaMask, Coinbase, Trust or Rabby, signs you in there, and a code takes the login back to the World app. Step by step below.
Log in with wallet, step by step
This is for the World app, where a phone has no wallet of its own. Have MetaMask, Coinbase, Trust or Rabby installed.
- In the World app, on the door, tap the small Log in with wallet.
- Under it, tap your wallet: MetaMask, Coinbase, Trust or Rabby. The World opens inside that wallet’s own browser.
- There, the card says “Get the app”. Tap Log in with wallet and sign. It is one signature, no gas.
- The card comes back with your address and Your code for the app. Tap it, and a code shows.
- Go back to the World app. Tap I have a code, put the code in and tap Sign in. Your characters are there.
The wallet’s browser stays upright: you don’t turn the phone there. The card’s last line shows your address, “signed in” and sign out; use it if you picked the wrong wallet. More about wallets: Your wallet.

Tap Menu → Report a bug and say what happened. A screenshot helps. Say which phone and which browser or app you use. You can also post in Discord, in #bug-reports.
